5 Personal tarot
fundamentals
Hello loves,
There is alot to consider when you decide to do tarot
publicly for clients. Most of the things come up with time and as you grow, but
there are some things you may want to consider before you start reading. This post
is long anyhow so lets just begin.
1. Define what kind of readings you will be doing- It's important to know yourself as a reader.
What
kind of readings you want to do, and what
readigs you would rather avoid?
Do you want to do future teling? Or do you want to do more spiritually
oriented readings?
Will you include other card systems in your readings (Oracle
cards, Affirmation cards, Lenormand, exc…)? These are all questions you may
want to ask yourself if you haven't already.
Once you know yourself as a reader you can grow with your cards.
2. Boundaries- This ties in with the previous point. Once
you have defiend yourself as reader it is up to you if you follow what you have
set down to do or not. If you find
yorself in a situation where you are asked to do a reading but you don't feel
that the reading would do any good, what will you do?
If a client who is paying
askes you to do a reading that goes against you code of ethic, will you make an
exception and read, or will you explain what kind of readings you are doing,
and recommend different reader? If a client has an answer he wants to hear, but
the cards suggest something else, will you go with what the client wants, or
will go with what the cards are saying?
3. Objectivity- There
will be times when you will feel tempted to give suggestions based on your
opinion. Tarot reader should show what possibilities at hand are, and let the person
who is getting the reding decide. We can give ponters and tips based on cards. If
you are ment to say something you will know it, there will be no other than
spilling that truth out, and that is positive.
4. Preparation- Preparation
for reading is as important as the
reading itself. Weather you do simple meditation, grounding, clearing and
clensing, exc. Small things can make a great difference.
If you have something
that gets you in the reading mentality make sure you allow yourself to do it
before starting reading.
5. Engage and exchange-
Many readers get troubled when it comes to getting paid for readings.
This is
important thing to determine when and if you decide to sell your readings.
If you
decide to give readings for free that is great but what if you are afraid to
put a price on your work. Many face that fear, I know I have. You may get asked
why you ask for money in exchange for reading, before you explain, you have to know the answer yourself. Is it for
the time you are investing? Or are you saving some extra money for that trip
you want to go on? Or is this your full time job?
There is much more you can explore. These are some basics to
get you started. If you have any questions post them int he comments or pop
over on facebook and send me a message :D

Tarot spreads vs Free flowing reading
Hello love,
I'll be honest
I love free flowing readings but I can't give up my spreads. I still collect
them and adore them. It's such a beautiful form of divination. If you are
working with spreads and are just dipping your fingers into the free flow stuff,
this is for you. It can be hard to leave
something you are so comfortable with, but as the saying goes ˝Life begins at
the end of your comfort zone˝. That said
I want to present to you some things that may rise up when you start doing this
work. As with all things you will get better as you practice.
So let's begin,
pull a few cards out on the table. First you may choose to pull just one card
at this point I would encourage to you to try pulling two to three cards.
At
the beginning it may be hard to get what each card position is telling you. At this time you probably
already think that you can't do it or
that you can't get the meanings from the cards.
Don't panic, allow yourself to
relax.
Look at each card individually and see what each is trying to tell you.
When you are doing this make sure you listen to what you are guided towards.
If
you feel that the card is talking about the past and the card next to it has
advice on dealing with that past issue
and the third card talks about how to heal from that issue in the first card exc. Go with it,
these are all clues to help you guide the reading. If you
are very structured and organized by nature it may come hard and it may take
more time to go with the flow and do something unexpected.
On the other hand if
you are free spirit you may have easier time adjusting yourself to free style. What
I would say is the most important thing
to remeber is your connection to the cards.
Having intuitive connection with
the cards is amazing anyway but if you are trying to do the free style it could
be helpful to explore this area. When I
tried to do free style readings for the
first time I had hard time but I just went from card to card for meaning, and then tied them together and give
a cohesive reading. I can't give you a ˝HOW TO˝ guide for this
beacuse there isn't one, this is a free flowing process personal to each
indiidual. Things like pathworking, meditation, crystals exc. may help. Do you! Use things that you know
work for you. It takes practice and patience and remember that we are all
different and everyone will have different approach and everyone will learn it differently. Free style readings may
or may not be you cup of tea, and if they are not you don't have to worry there
is much more you can explore and return to this topic later.
Much love xoxo

Spirits of Christmas tarot spread
Hey love,
instead of
me talking to you about something I wanted to give you something practical you
can use around Christmas time. I got idea for this spread from the movie called
˝A Christmas Carol˝. If your not familiar with this movie. The main character is an old, bitter man named Scrooge. He gets visited by three
ghosts of Christmas, ghost of Christmas past,
ghost of Christmas present and ghost of Christmas future. They show him
how he has and still is living his life and how his life will end. By the end of the move he loses his bitterness
and gets into the holiday season spirit. While I used the idea behind the movie
for this spread, I also introduced other ideas that originate from Yule
festivities and shadow work. This spread can be used with oracle cards aswell as tarot cards. Without any
further ado here is the spread.
Past
1. Where have I been. Past joys, sorrows and memories. This card will show a general image of our
past self.
2. Leasons I've learned. Knowledge
you have collected that you may or may not recognize.
3. Things I still haven't
delt with. Stuff I drag from the past. This could indicate fears or drama that still hasn't been resolved yet.
4. How I'm different now then I was in the past. This shows us how we have changed and evolved from our past selves. How we have learned from past leasons, and what wisdom we have gained in the now moment.
5. Rebirth. Something I can do right now to become more present with mayself. This card will show you how to listen to your internal guidence system and utilise those messages in your life.
Future
6. How can I thrive int he upcoming year. This card will show you ideas, messages and advice on starting nex year and things you can focus on in order to create a magical year. Much love xoxo

Holidays + Tarot
Hello love I want to talk to you
about using tarot during holiday season. What you may be worrying about is how
can I incorporate tarot into my holiday experience. Tarot isn't a part of any
˝traditional˝ holiday . But what if you want to have a wonderful holiday
experience, besides getting tarot under the chrstmas tree. Here are a few ideas about including tarot
into your holiday experience.
1. Holiday tarot decor. For this just take some chrsimas decorations
and create something like 3D mural with tarot. Use things like pine cones,
fairy lights, ornaments and other
holiday shizzle.
2. Having a Holiday party or
gathering. Take your tarot and use
it. This is great if your just starting and need practice but also for the ones
who have been doing this for a while this can help you get feedback and see
where you can grow with your tarot. If
you have someone who is sceptic or thinks you are doing devil work this is
great time to show them what realy means to do tarot and how amazing it can be.
3. Use tarot as a gift. What I mean by this is giving indivudual cards
as a gift or in adition to your greeting card. You can give a whole deck away
to one person but giving individual cards can be really amazing. You can use either
tarot or oracle deck for this. It looks good and it means alot.
4. Create tarot holiday art. Tarot in itself is art so whay
wouldn't you create a peace of holiday art that is tarot themed. You can create anything you want. Peace of
art can be a drawing, a painting, a poem, a meal you will have or a space you
will dedicate for your tarot work. It's all about you creating something.
5. Create
a holiday tarot spread. Crazy thought, but why not create a tarot spread. Be guided by the theme of
the season but most importantly allow the spread to mirror what Christmas is to
you. Go crazy weather you will use this
spred exclusively for yourself or you will use it for others. Allow the spread
to flow with you.
6. Do you! Holliday season can be very hectic and stressful. If you
find unable to follow through with what you have planned. Don't despair. Do
you! There is nothing bad in saying fuck everything and doing your thing. Allow
yourself to be guided by what you want instead of what you should do.
I will be posting some photos that will be in adition to this post on my Facebook and Twitter. If you want to get into the holiday spirit with tarot and me defenetly check that out.
Much love and Happy holidays. xoxo

Dealing with creative blocks
Creative blocks are a part of our experience, we can fight
with them or, we can use them as
motivators. I believe that with creative blocks we can learn about ouselves and
our creative process. Understanding your creativity can greatly help you grow
and expand your creative ability. Fun
thing is that there are millions of was
to overcome a creative block. I am here to give you my perspective on them, if
you don't find this useful don't wory, there are hundreds of thousands of other
ways to flame your creativity up. It is up to you to find the one that works
for you. For me I just need to get inspired. Weather that is by reading an
article on a killer subject or watching
a video on youtube. I get realy inspired
by cultural knowledge. I love experinecing new things and just learning. So
anything that expands my knowledge, inspires me to create. I'm realy interested
in self development and I try to practice it every day in my life.
What I have found is that expressing your blocks
can actualy eluminate and remove them. I believe that expressing (writing, saying, drawing,
exc.) your blocks enables you to overcome and understand them. Practically this
would mean taking some time and allowing yourself to express yout thoughts, emotions
and experiences with this creatice block. This is how this peace of knowledge
has come to be. Because I'm stuck I am writing on that stuckness. Because I
hate it I am trying to understand it. There is a positive intention behind
every negative experience. You just need to allow yourself to find and understand
that intention for yourself. If you
find yourself stuck for a long time, allow yourself to change focus. There is nothing bad in taking some time of
from one point and focusing on something else, and them coming back with fresh
perspective. Don't preasure yourself. Allow yourself to flow with your
creativity.
Much love xoxo

Commitment
To many people commitment is about doing only one thing at
the time and completly focusing on it. This is true to a degree, you can do
something and be focused on it, but that doesn't mean that you are totaly
commited to it. To be totaly commited
you need to be in the moment. You need to present with what you are doing.
You need to be present with your heart,
thought, and spirit. Also be sure that what you are commiting to is worth your
time and energy. If you are unhappy doing something, stop doing it. Why would
you torture yourself ?Common thing we
face with is fear of commitment. This fear works like defense mechanism to
protect us from being hurt. Pain and hurt are the greatest motivators in life. We will do anything to avoid them, so in order to avoid them we create cover up
emotions and defense mechanisms. Sometimes we start to believe in the cover ups
and we forget about the real emotion behind them. This fear comes from being
afraid of someome or something hurting us.
To realy understand our fears we need to face them. Let me tell you,
fear is only an ilusion. You need to go
deep and find the root of the fear and face it. Why would you choose to live
your life in fear when you can be happy. Alow yourself to enjoy this
experience. Alow yourself to be in the moment.
Much love...
